We created a cleaning mechanism for 8″ floppy disks

Recently, in collaboration with Birdbrain, we created a cleaning mechanism for 8″ floppy disks. You can also print the mechanism on your own 3D printer.

We digitized journals of the Prague Hi-Fi club

Some time ago, we received on loan for digitization the journals of the Prague Hi-Fi club from 1972-1997. Thanks to its focus on consumer electronics, it occasionally contains interesting observations about computing technology, and the club also played a small role in the prehistory of video games in Czechoslovakia.

We gave our game magazine database a new look

We improved our game magazine database. The new database naturally has a better and clearer user interface, but most importantly, you can find in it links to magazine scans (both from us and from other sources).

We recently got our hands on a special piece of the IQ 151 computer, which doesn't have the classic keyboard made from telephone buttons, but features a beautiful mechanical keyboard. This IQ was borrowed by the Andrew Tesla channel, who made a video about this beauty.

We digitized the entire PSM2 magazine

PSM2 started publishing in Czechia in February 2002 by the same publisher as the Official PS Magazine and Score. The editor-in-chief was Jan Bludr Modrák, same as OPSM. The price was 99 CZK, but there was no demo disc included. Only 16 issues of PSM2 were published, the last one in May 2003. We digitized the entire magazine.

We have received the opportunity to participate in the exhibition Disk nelze načíst (Disc Cannot Be Read) - an exhibition by the Vašulka Kitchen team focusing on the history of analog, (pre) digital technologies, media, and artistic experiments from around the early 1990s.
